Guest guest
For one who is born death is certain and that brings up the point I am making, what can we do about something that is inevitable? The simple anawer is we can do a lot and it would be foolish to do nothing. Our spritual master and teacher Srila Prabhupada has made Vedic aphorisms which contain axiomatic truth less perplexing. Thus we know that death is not a random function, it is a defined principle administered by an agency of God headed by Yamaraja. Hence it is in our best interest that we do not leave such an urgent matter to chance. This act of not leaving anything to chance is also known as the sucessful utilization of the human form of life. Vedic knowledge imparts unto us that in our world only in the human form we can do something about our own destiny. Animals have no such luck, for them mother nature decides their next form of life and carries on the cycle untill they move up to be humans. Therefore it is imperative that we properly use our human form and time, otherwise we fall back again in the evolutionary cycle. The human form of life is meant to ask intelligent questions like, who am I ? where have I come from? and where am I going? This is Brahman inquiry, the beginning of the link to our maker. Since time immemorial numerous wise men and women have utilized Brahman science to solve the puzzle of birth and death. They realized the reasons for being here, the causes of immense suffering and why we should be back to Godhead. Vedic science is vast and deep but in this day and age it has been made easy by taking shelter of the holy name. Who ever shall call God by his name will be saved. Vedas conclusively identifies that KRSNA is the supreme personality of godhead and Chaitanya Maha Prabhu confirms that chanting the holy name of KRSNA is the only form of salvation for this day and age. There is no other way. In conclusion of Gita KRSNA said to Arjuna, " Always think of me and become my Devotee. Worship me and offer your homage unto me. Thus you will come to me without fail. I promise you this because you are my very dear friend" ( BG-18.65 ). Then he said, " Abandon all varities of religion and just surrender unto me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear." ( BG-!8.66 ). Even if there are discrepancies Prabhupada said, " A slight advancement in KRSNA consciousness will save one from the greatest danger of falling back in the material pool. They will be given a second chance in their next life to be human and a good birth to revive their consciousness to complete the process." Hence there is nothing to be lost in KRSNA consciousness. Here one may ask what differentiate between being here and returning to Godhead? The vedic authorities have explained that as the difference between being in KRSNA's inferior or superior energy. KRSNA or God has two energies, one material and the other spritual. The material worlds are dark, temporary and full of miseries on the other hand the spritual worlds are illumined, eternal and full of knowledge. The living entity being a spritual spark is incompatible with the material nature and her harsh enforsement of the laws. Material worlds are layered with upper and lower planetary systems and once here one has to go through cyclical evolutionary pattern of ups and downs travelling through various species of life and face good or bad as administered by the Karmic Laws. On the contrary returning back to the spritual world one assumes their original form and engages in their constitutional duties. Finally one who chants KRSNA is extremely clever. KRSNA is absolute and there is no difference between his self and his name. All his potencies are invested in his name and chanting the 16 syllable Maha Mantra, " HARE KRSNA HARE KRSNA KRSNA KRSNA HARE HARE HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE " is recomended for this age. Always calling KRSNA by his name will enable us to remember him when it counts the most, at the time of death. Hence the sum total of all knowledge is to be absorbed in KRSNA through constant rememberance and complete surrender knowing fully well that we are not our bodies. When the body is terminated by natures arrangement we shall return back to Godhead. That will conclude the process of birth and death. So please make your life sucessful by utilizing your rare human form and transcend physical death. All glories to Srila Prabhupada who has taught us the Supreme absolute truth. YS, Ashokamrita.
