Guest guest
There is a beautiful book known as Hari-bhakti-kalpa-latika, which was discovered by Bhaktivinoda Thakura, published several times by his son Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, and recently published again by Kusakratha Prabhu (1988. Culver City: Krsna Institute. ISBN 0944833-13-6) as well as Isvaradasa Prabhu (2000. Vrndavana: Touchstone Media. ISBN 81-87897-01-5). This Sanskrit book is complete in fourteen chapters of unequal length. Its author is unknown. It addresses navadha-bhakti (the nine ways of pure devotional service), different qualities of devotion, as well as Krsna, and His pastimes. Here is Hari-bhakti-kalpa-latika, 1.1: sarvatmanam asesa-loka-pitaram sarvesvaram sasvatam yam no vetti jagan-nivasam amrtam yan-mayayandham jagat | yam jnatva krtino visanti paramanandavabodham ca yam tam bhakta-priya-bandhavam saranadam vande mura-dvesinam || The eternal Self of all, the father and Lord of the limitless worlds, whom this world blinded by maya doesn't know to be the deathless repose of the universe, and upon realizing whom the devotees recognize supreme bliss--unto that dear friend and shelter of the devotees, the enemy of Mura, I offer my respectful obeisances.
