Guest guest
Prabhus, I could use some advice. I just purchased a conch shell, one that is supposedly fresh from India, for use in pujas. This is the type used for offering liquids. Anyway, there is a smell coming from the inside of the conch that is just atrocious, to say the least. I have tried soaking in soapy water, and boiling in salty water (the latter I tried 3 times). Still the smell remains, although now not quite as intense. Can anyone offer advice on how to get rid of the smell completely? I surely can't be the only one with a bad smelling shell. yours, - K
Guest guest
Dear Prabhu, PAMHO, You can try putting your corch shell under the sun for few days and naturally all the smells would go away. That's how it was done by my parents. Ys, -Naresh [excess quoted text deleted]

How about using chlorine bleach? Or Oxiclean? Your aspiring servant, Babhru das
