Guest guest
Dear Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances at the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada. om namo bhagavate vasudevaya om namo bhagavate vausdevaya om namo bhagavate vasudevaya Srimad-Bhagavatam 5.19.8 "Therefore, whether one is a demigod or a demon, a man or a creature other than man, such as a bird or beast, everyone should worship Lord Ramachandra, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who appears on this earth just like a human being. There is no need of great austerities or penances to worship the Lord, for He accepts even a small service offered by His devotee. Thus He is satisfied, and as soon as He is satisfied, the devotee is successful. Indeed, Lord Ramachandra brought all the devotees of Ayodhya back home, back to Godhead [Vaikuntha]." Srila Prabhupada teaches us : "Lord Sri Ramachandra is so kind and merciful to His devotees that he is very easily satisfied by a little service rendered by anyone, human or not. This is the special advantage of worshiping Lord Ramachandra, and there is the same advantage in worshiping Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Lord Krsna and Lord Ramachandra, in the manner of kshatriyas, sometimes showed Their mercy by killing asuras, but Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu awarded love of God without difficulty even to the asuras. All the incarnations of the Supreme Personality of Godhead - but especially Lord Ramachandra, Lord Krsna, and later, Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu- delivered many of the living entities present before Them. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is therefore represented in the six-armed form of sad-bhuja-murti, which is a combination of Lord Ramachandra, Lord Krsna and Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. The best purpose of human life can be fulfilled by worshiping the sad-bhuja-murti, the form of the Lord with two arms of Ramachandra, two arms of Krsna and two arms of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu." ********************************** Excerpt from Srila Prabhupada's Nectar of Devotion , Chapter 21 "Qualities of Sri Krsna" (p.156) "..."Persons who are desirous of becoming great personalities must be decorated with the following qualities : truthfulness, cleanliness, mercy, perserverence, renunciation, peacefulness, simplicity, control of the senses, equilibrium of the mind, austerity, equality, forbearance, placidity, learning, knowledge, detachment, opulence, chicalry, influence, strength, memory, independence, tactfulness, luster, patience, kindheartedness, ingenuity, gentility, mannerliness, determination, perfection in all knowledge, proper execution, possession of all objects of enjoyment, gravity, steadiness, faithfulness, fame, respectfulness and lack of false egotism." Persons who are desiring to become great souls cannot be without any of the above qualities, so we can know for certain that these qualities are found in Lord Krsna, the supreme soul..." *********************************** Srimad-Bhagavatam 3.16.37 (partial purport) Srila Prabhupada teaches us : "...When something is arranged by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one should not be disturbed by it, even if it appears to be a reverse according to one's calculations. For example, sometimes we see that a powerful preacher is killed, or sometimes he is put into difficulty, just as Haridasa Thakura was. He was a great devotee who came into this material world to execute the will of the Lord by preaching the Lord's glories. But Haridasa was punished at the hands of the Kazi by being beaten in twenty-two marketplaces. Similarly, Lord Jesus Christ was crucified, and Prahlada Maharaja was put through so many tribulations. The Pandavas, who were direct friends of Krsna, lost their kingdom, their wife was insulted, and they had to undergo many severe tribulations. Seeing all these reverses affect devotees, one should not be disturbed; one should simply understand that in these matters there must be some plan of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The Bhagavatam's conclusion is that a devotee is never disturbed by such reverses. He accepts even reverse conditions as the grace of the Lord. One who continues to serve the Lord even in reverse conditions is assured that he will go back to Godhead, back to the Vaikuntha planets." ********************************* >From *My Relationship With Lord Krsna* by His Holiness Satswarupa das Goswami He prayes : "...Lord Shiva said that You are the only Supreme Person, the cause of all causes...(tvam eka adyah purushah)" (Srimad-Bhagavatam 4.24.63). Before the worlds are created, the energy to make them remains within You in a dormant state (supta-shakti). Then, step by step in the evolutionary process, the world is manifested. As the supreme creator, You are the aishvarya Lord. Prabhupada explains to us why You created the worlds : "...the Lord wants to give some facility to those living entities who want to imitate the Lord in His enjoyment... For instance, sometimes children want to imitate their mother and cook in the kitchen, and, at such a time, the mother supplies them with some toys so that the child can imitate her cooking." My dear Krsna, why can't people understand that You are the origin of everything? They are so covered by the material energy. If I go on hearing the Bhaktivedanta purports, I will learn of my relationship with You. All conditioned souls are in a predicament similar to mine. They can become released in the same way I will achieve release...." (p. 73) ********************************************** Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare your servant.... ######################################################################
