brahmANDAnA.m koTi-sa.nkhyAdhikAnAm

 

aishvarya.m yac cetanA vA yad-a.mshaH

 

AvirbhUta.m tan-mahaH kR^iSNa-nAma

 

tan me sAdhyAn sAdhana.m jIvana.m ca

 

brahmandanam-of universes; koti-of millions;

sa.nkhya-the number; adhikanam-exceeding;

aisvaryam-the opulence; yat-which; cetana-knowledge;

va-or; yat-of which; a.mash-a portion;

avirbhUtam-manifested; tat-that; mahaH-the glory;

kR^iSNa-of lord kR^iSNa; nAma-the name; tat-that;

me-of me; sadhyam-the goal; sadhanam-the means of

attaining the goal; jIvanam-the life; ca-also.

 

“If the opulence or knowledge of many millions of

universes were clustered together, they would hardly

equal a small fragment of the glory of kR^iSNa.as holy

name. kR^iSNa.as holy name is my life. It is the goal

of my life. It is the means I will employ to attain

the goal of my life.” – Author unknown

 

PHONETIC TRANSLATION:

equal a small fragment of the glory of Krsna's holy

name. Krsna's holy name is my life. It is the goal of
