Dear Krishna-bhaktas,

 

Why is Deepavali synonymous with Kali Puja if the

former is primarily a Vaishnava festival? Are they

(different festivals) both occurring on the same day

or is Kali Puja supposed to be taken as a Sakta

version of Deepavali?

 

And again, why is Kali Puja on the Vaishnava calendar?
