All Glories to his Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.

"So if it is true that Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura ate

meat, how does this fit in with the perception of a

liberated soul according to Srila Prabhupada's

teachings?"

Dear Vaisnava's I think that the statement 'how does this fit in with the

perception of a liberated soul " needs to be corrected. There can be no

perception that Srila Bhaktivinod Thakura is a liberated soul since it is a

glaring fact based on his life's work.

Further it is explained that we are not these bodies....we are spirit soul so we

should look at the positive and reject that which is negative. Rather we should

see the honest explanation and especially the part were He was getting ill.

Surely Lord Krishna was directing him to his life's work.

Also Srila Prabhupada teachings are perfect as he explains that meat eating is

permitted according the Karma Kanda section . Surely people before us knew about

this part of the Vedic Scripture which gave permission to eat meat accordingly.

If it were not for his sincere efforts where would we be. My father used to take

alcohol and cigars......can I reject him for that. No....he directs me away from

his mistakes. Should I go back in time to experience those same pangs or can I

see his wrongs and refuse.
