Guest guest
Prashanthi Bulletin May 24th, 2005Bhagawan was very happy with the devotees from Sri Lanka, and it was announced that the Sri Lankan devotees would be blessed with Mahaprasadam (lunch) by Bhagawan. But Bhagawan did not come out for the morning session - bhajans were held for half an hour at nine. After the Bhajans, the devotees assembled at the Kalyanamantapam for the Prasadam. In the evening, Bhagawan came to the Sai Ramesh hall to the accompaniment of the welcome song by the devotees. In the hall, a pulsating program of drums was presented. After this special program, and a few bhajans, Bhagawan returned to Trayee. He then came to the Kalyanamantapam for a cultural program presented by Balvikas children from Sri Lanka. May 23rd, 2005 - Buddha PoornimaThe Buddha Poornima celebrations commenced around 8 am with Bhagawan being brought to Sai Ramesh hall in a procession led by the Buddhist monks, with Kandy dancers from Sri Lanka. As Bhagawan sat onstage, the Kandy dancers performed for a few minutes in front of Him. Then, there were bhajans by devotees from Sri Lanka for more than an hour. In the evening, Bhagawan came out by 3.10 pm as Sri Lankan devotees sang some Buddhist chants. The evening program was introduced by Dr. Michael Goldstein of the United States, who is the Chairman of the Prashanthi Council of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation. There were three distinguished speakers: Mr. Karu Jayasuriya, Deputy leader of the Opposition in Sri Lanka; Mr. Munasinghe, the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in India; and Ms. Sabaratnam, President of the Sri Lanka Women's Lawyers Association and prominent member of one of Sri Lanka's largest business conglomerates. After the speeches, souvenirs were released to mark the 40th anniversary of the Sai Organisation in Sri Lanka. Bhagawan then decided to stand up and deliver His divine message. He spoke standing for around ten minutes, then continued for another twenty minutes sitting down. Some of the main points of His message were to see God everywhere; call Him by any name, but God is one. Swami made the Sri Lankan devotees very happy by telling them that very soon, He would visit their island. Bhagawan went to His Trayee residence for a short while after these programs in Sai Ramesh hall and then returned for a dance presentation by the Kandy dancers from Sri Lanka in the Sai Krishen Kalyanamantapam, which was approximately an hour long. May 22nd, 2005This Sunday, Bhagawan came earlier than usual for both morning and evening bhajans. In the morning, the bhajans started by 8.10 am, and Bhagawan arrived onstage a few minutes later.
