Gallstones

Greetings from Buffalo!

I have recently been through some traumatic times - hysterectomy,

lipomaectomy - and have now been diagnosed with gallstones ... my

previous cholesterol levels have been exemplary (both LDL and HDL) so

what is up here? Does anyone have some suggestions? I am now able

to get back into my yoga practice after some three months and am

looking forward to good health again.

I have always "toyed" with the ayurvedic principles - now I think

that it is truly time for me to do it whole heartedly ..

Namaste

I am looking to prevent any problems with the gallstones. I have just

endured a lipomaectomy and complete hysterectomy (tubes and ovaries too) and

the estrogen that I am taking has led to the formation of gallstones.

Normally, my blood cholesterol is very good (180) with my LDL and HDL

numbers exemplary. I am a little afraid to see what it is now.

Is there something that I could do diet wise besides avoiding fat and animal

products? I already am eating soy - a get most of my protein from the

veggie source as it is. My one vice is red wine on the weekends but other

than that I think that I am eating pretty well.

Are there other therapies that exist?

Please advise - I would be thankful for any assistance that you could give

me.
