Hi,

I want a list of ayurvedic medicines avialble in market in india

which can be used to enhance sexual perfomance and increased

libido... I a scared of the trying the over the counter medicines

avaialble coz i am afraid of side effects.

any pointers wuld be apreciated.

in Ayurveda sexual energy is equated with your vital energy, i.e. with

the sexual act you utilize your latent vitality to essentially create

life: un pettit morte ("the little death") as they say in France...

Thus remedies are directed to nourishing ojas, your vitality, and this

involves more than just taking herbs, and includes lifestyle factors

such as a proper diet, adequate sleep, meditation etc.. Nonetheless,

some botanicals are specially noted for these effects, i.e. (for men)

Ashvagandha, Kapikachu, Gokshura, Bala, Shatavari etc., taken with

herbs such as Jatiphala and Ela, mixed with ghee and honey as anupana.

Using the above herbs, you can create a formula using 2 parts

Ashvagandha, Kapikachu, Gokshura, Bala, Shatavari, and one part each

Jatiphala and Ela, 10 g as powder mixed with 1 tsp ghee and 2 tsp

honey. Mix well, and eat it (lick it actually, it called a "lehya," to

lick), and after follow with some warm water. Take this twice daily,

before breakfast and before supper.

 

Other helpful herbs include Ginseng, Epidmedium, Lycium berry, He Shou

We, Dang gui, Saw Palmetto, etc.
