Guest guest
Dear Guru Khalsa As you guessed, yes, PanchGavya is the five items given by Cow. The Ayurveda has detailed mentions of importance of Cow's Milk, Curd, Ghee, Urine in the treatment of various human aliments. All these five products obtained from cow are individually called Gavya and collectively termed as Panchagavya. In ancient indian custom and even today in some parts of Tamil Nadu, South India, orthodox Brahmins take 1 tsp PanchGavya on the fist Day of Karthik month, to ensure good health throughout the year. In mythology, when Lord Krishna was poisoned by Putna, he was bathed in Cow urine and dung mixture to remove the poison. Today same technology is being practiced in Jaypur, Rajastan, India as a substitute Haemodialysis for 'Renal Failure', Eczema Patients. The mixture of 50 ml cow urine and liquid squeezed out by straining about 25 gm of fresh warm cowdung was drunk twice a day by a man from Solapur, Maharashtra, India to cure mouth Cancer. This led to development of several medicines using Panch Gavya. The credit to Rajvaidya Revashankar Jatlai, Jaypur, Rajastan, India. Following this, several centres were established where a number of indian cows were looked after with the aim of producing medicines. Every product has distinct qualities and uses in Health, Agriculture and other fields. The Scientists and Vaidya working with the Go- vigyan Anusandhan Kendra, Nagpur, India have studied different aspects of Panchagavya. Some Medicines are formulated using Panchagavya and some herbs. The Clinical trials are being carried out with these medicines. Encouraging results are helping in firm foundation of "Panchagavya Ayurved Medicine" as a science for health care. Several manufacturing units for medicine having license from F.D.A. are set up across whole of North India. The manufacturing is carried out under supervision of qualified Vaidyas. The cows are regularly examined by veterinary doctors. One of above centres is Go-vigyan Anusandhan Kendra. It has established two permanent dispensaries in Nagpur city wherein more than 10,000 patients were successfully treated for Chronic and routine diseases like Eczema, psoriasis, Pimples, dandruff, leucoderma, vatvikar, obesity, blood pressure, G.I. ailments like acidity, constipation, nasal & mental disorders, asthma & other Allergic disorders etc. Since 1996 Clinical trials on some Kidney patients and Cancer patients have shown remarkable progress. US patent was granted to Indian scientists on the use of cow urine distillate on bio-enhancer. United States Patent 6,410,059Khanuja,et al.June 25, 2002 While this development is going on mainly in villages, one of the centres has created a reserve in forest where cows confiscated from butchers are treated for recuperating their health. The cows kept in such areas and looked after by Goushalas eat dry grass, fodder and never any harmful products found in city garbage. PanchGavya, the mixture of five fresh items from Cow is also given in Cancer Camps being organised for treating Cancer consisting of Secondary tumors (Not blood cancer). However, this should be obtained only from Indian Cow, not New Jersy Cow. Her products do not have the medicinal values, as actually experienced. Most of the above development has occured in Rural India, only exception being Nagpur.
