Guest guest
Dear mayuri, In remote consultation of this type, there remains a large chance of error in assessing a patients prakruti, environment, food habits, etc. Hence, one can give only generic guidance. First let me suggest a mixture of herbs to reduce your pressure. If you are in India, you can buy these at Herbal shops under the given names. Else, you can request botanical names later. 1. Harde 2. Rasna 3. Peeper 4. Sunth 5. Nagarmoth 6. Ghodavaj (Vekhand) 7. Pushkarmul Take all in equal proportion by weight, grind to powder. Take 5 gms in the morning and 5 gms in the evening with a little water. You may also add Arjun Bark powder, if you have angina pains. This gives strength to heart muscle. In addition, take 2 tabs 125 mg each of Sheelajit Rasayan, chew and swallow with water after meals. Its alternative name is Jeevan Prada Vati. Post-menopause phase is generally Vata+Pitta. However, you can determine youself using a file stored in Group files under the name 'Menopause_Treat'. Few recommendations for herbs, diet, lifestyle are also given. Diet which pacifies the doshas should be used. The khichri used in Sourashtra (Gujarat) and Kutchh, Rajastan is one of the few items which are recommended. You may also see file 'FoodProperties.doc' in group files, to choose items to balance your doshas. Avoiding intoxicants such as tea, coffee is desirable. I found that a reputed pharmacy of India, Baidyanath Pharmacy does send the herbal powders and herbal products under familiar names. YOu can buy herbal powders on following link, using Indian names or original Sanskrit names: http://www.allayurveda.com/herbalcure.htm On the other hand products such as Ashokarishtam, Dasmularishtam etc. are available on the link: http://www.allayurveda.com/hprods.htm Ofcourse, I am doubtful whether they will send small quantities. The prices in US Dollars are 3-4 times the ones in Indian Rupees. Hence, It would be better to get these when a relative is travelling to US. >From above links you may also obtain information such as the indications under which the herbs and products are used.
