Guest guest
Dear sunseril, Please see message No. 1210 using the link: http://health.ayurveda/message/1210 similarly see message 1823 on thyroidism. http://health.ayurveda/message/1823 In that message, the home remedy given there at Sr. No. 1 (Coriander seeds+Fennel seeds+crystal sugar, soaking 12 hours in a cup of water in earthen pot) may be used to correct the thyroid gland function. This remedy will also reduce pitta which causes hair loss. Plus, throwing out for 2 weeks points to pitta unbalance. Patients similar to yours turned to ayurveda after taking (allopathic) synthetic thyroid harmone (T3, T4, TSH) pills for a long time, without finding any benifit. Noel has already given you a good suggestion, 1/2 tsp satawari powder twice a day. Various pharmacy medicines under names 'Satawari Kalpa', Satawari extract' are also available. But simple satawari powder is also found to be effective in practice. The author would like to add another 1/2 tsp of Aswagandha and 1/2 tsp of Licorice powder to take care of your constipation+pitta also. It appears that your harmone imbalance is due to synthetic harmones aimed at birth control. Sudden stopping has given rise to Apan Vata (constipation) dosha. Aswagandha will take care of the same. Licorice balances all three doshas, and is good for liver also. Once liver becomes active constipation will also reduce. The mixture of Satawari, Aswagandha and Licorice can be taken either with honey or warm milk. Another way is, you may add 1 cup of water to 1 cup milk+1 tsp of above mixture and slow boil till 1 cup remains. Drink warm, twice a day. The mixture dose 1 - 1.5 tsp OK. This tea is used by author to reduce dependence of patients on tea, coffee, coca cola. Increase fibre content in your food and drink more water. Application of pure coconut oil, or oil made from Amalki, Brahmi, Bhringaraj etc would help reducing hair loss. The procedure for preparing such a oil is covered in Msg. No. 1210. These oils are readily available on allayurveda.com Harmone imbalance, being a problem of nervous system (Vat dosha), demands treatment for at least three months. Whatever you follow, post your experience for the benifit of our group. Regards Dr. Bhate ayurveda, "sunseril" <sunseril> wrote:[Message No. 1870] > I have no familyhistory of thyroid disorders.
