Low Blood Platelet count

One of my cousin had been admitted to hospital since his blood platelet count

had come to a level of 9000 as compared to the normal level of 150000 to 400000.

He had to be given plasma for raising the level. After about ten days in ICU, he

was shifted to the General Ward and subequently discharged from the hospital

with instructions to visit the doctor every alternate day for "check-up".

Now the Blood platelet level which had increased upto 170000 after infusing

Plasma has come down drastically to 56000. His bone marrow report is normal.

Could you suggest some remedy for raising the Blood Platelet level.
