Guest guest
hi ray it is somewhat difficult to get good quality Aloe juice, but some companies do exist, such as Aloe Farms some companies may add preservatives like citric acid and potassium sorbate - some preservatives are better than others, but of course the best way is to actually juice the aloe leaves themselves, by taking the fresh leaves and juicing them always start with small dose (~25 mL or 1 oz) to determine the potency - some Aloes have lots of emodin, others not as much an excess of emodin will cause purging and griping, and an unhappy patient Caldecott www.toddcaldecott.com
Guest guest
I think most aloe vera juice is just the gel inside the leaf. It sounds like you are using the whole leaf. Does the outer part of the leaf have some different properties than the inside of the leaf? Guest guest
The leaves of aloe vera are always used by accepting pulp only. When the pulp is taken orally, it needs to be mixed with Saindhav salt and half a gram of turmeric powder. When mixed this way, it can be swallowed down without sticking in the throat and body accepts it as a liver detoxifier+tonic. Please see earlier messages 1447, 1457, 1464 which also contain contributions from in this regard. Dr Venu Gopal has corectly suggested mixing it with turmeric as pustule healing ointment. 's post included herein also does not imply full leaves are to be used. He also suggests juicing the leaves: intention is to remove the pulp. The length of the leaf to be used should be such that about 15-25 ml pulp results. Avoid ready pulp containing preservative. Aloe Vera is easy to grow in courtyard or balcony. Best results can be obtained by cutting the leaf only to the extent needed, and storing the extra in fridge for 2-3 days till it lasts. For liver detoxification, it must be taken on empty stomach.
