Guest guest
Greetings Lovely People, My name is Mari D'India and I am very new to Ayurveda, but find it incredibly fascinating. I am tri-dosha with Pitta as my primary dosha. And, they are all out of whack, though not enough to develop into a dis-ease (yet). I decided to give Amrit Kalash a try. I am not ill (yet) nor am I recovering from an illness. However, I am entering my middle age and recently have been under a tremendous amount of serious stress. From the little amount of information out on the web about Amrit Kalash nectar, I understand that Amrit can be used as a preventative to illness and disease and that it balances all three doshas. Which seems to simplify trying to balance three out-of-whack doshas. (Correct me if I am wrong, please!) I'd like to know from those who have experienced Amrit or are presently using Amrit, what exactly has Amrit done for you. When did you begin seeing results? Two weeks? Two months? Did/do you use the nectar alone or in conjunction with the Ambrosia? >From a professional perspective, I'd like to know what exactly is the impact of Amrit on the whole physiology. Can pregnant women can use Amrit? (This information is for my daughter who is in her first trimester.) The more I can know of Maharishi Amrit Kalash the better. I thank all of you in advance for your time, thoughts and expertise. May Life Embrace You, Mari
Guest guest
Please access #3458 in the message archives. If you look at the ingredients, MAK jam is sort of a mixture between Chyawan Prash and Brahma Rasayana classic jams, but has its unique energetic effects. CP and BR may be just as effective as Ojas promoters, Tejas and Prana boosters and as antioxidants. However, it is not mentioned in any of the major scriptures. You may want to compare its effects with other preparations. MAPI has certainly done a good job of promoting it, so far it is one of the worlds most well researched polyherbal formulas originating out of the ayurvedic tradition. - Ole
Guest guest
Hello Mari, Based on my personal experience with Amrit, I would recommend that you use it for a month or two and see what it does for you in terms of energy, clarity and wellbeing. Always follow your experience. Compare it with a good authenti Chyawan Prash jam (NIAM etc), you never know, you may find it works better for you. The best thing is to follow an ayurvedic "basic gameplan" for restoring your health. There are plenty of good books around. Maybe you could even get a consultation with a skilled doctor, if someone is available. Books by Vasant Lad, David Frawley and Robert Svoboda are good choices. Do that and you will be surprised to see how far you can go with very simple approaches, as long as they are following the ayurvedic guidelines. A good (expensive) polyherbal rejuvenative like Amrit can do wonders, but the balancing of doshas comes primarily from a balanced diet and lifestyle, rejuvenative herbs will not work properly if you are not following the basics. Guest guest
Thank you very much, Ole, for taking the time to share your thoughts and knowledge. You are greatly appreciated. My health is okay for the most part. There are a few annoyances that I have learned are Pitta imbalances with some minor imbalances in Vata and Kapha as well. But they are minor. I'd like to get them all balanced before they become major, of course. My problem is I am highly confused as to how to balance the doshas when they are all opposed to each other. My diet is pretty good in that I am a semi vegan. I adore my veggies and fruits and fresh juices, etc. No snacking, no junk foods, no sodas... I drink an abundance of fresh water and I love my garlic and spices. I go to sleep around 11:00 pm and wake around 6:00 am. While I am not a tri-athlete, I am not a couch sweet potato either. The thing is, the veggies and fruits, etc., I love are not great for Pitta according to Ayurveda. Yet, the veggies, fruits and foods that are good for balancing Pitta, are bad for one or both of the other doshas. It seems that while one balances one dosha, the others become unbalanced. So, I figured the Amrit Kalash nectar would help with the balancing. Thank you again for your time, Mari
