What Ayurveda can do??

DIABETICS

This is a Metabolic disorder where body fails to utilize the glucose

produced at the end of digestion, leading to increased glucose level

in the blood serum and urine. The Ayurvedic treatments range from

simple oral medications to some purificatory. Panchakarma -procedures

such as Vamana, Virechana, Vastietc., based on the severity of the

condition. Regular physical exercise, Individually tailored low

carbohydrate diet and low stress level in day-to-day life goes a long

way in maintaining normal blood glucose level.

PSORIASIS

This is a chronic skin disease in which itchy, scaly and red patches

are formed on various parts of the body and the scalp. While treating

such a condition, the excessively accumulated toxins in the blood are

loosened by administration of medicated ghee (Snehapana) and later

they are eliminated out of the body through Vamana (Emesis) or

Virechana (purgation). Some of the external procedures like

Takradhara,Tailadhara are also adopted to change the texture of the

skin while most of the internal medications purify the blood.

OBESITY

The most common nutritional disorder of modern age, this condition is

characterized by excess accumulation of fat in the body. Continuous

indulgence in high fat foods, fried items etc., along with sedentary

life style results in excessive fat getting blocked in various body

channels causing a number of metabolic disturbances such as

hypertension, diabetes, irregular digestion etc. Deep dry massages

with herbal powders and pastes, Synchronized massage with specific

oils, steam bath etc., mobilize the accumulated fat where as

specially designed diet and yoga programs prevent its further

accumulation. Appropriate Panchakarma therapies are also administered

based on the requirement of the individual.
