Dear List,

As chronic disease grows in leaps and bounds, the questions raised by the common

man can no longer be ignored. Environmentalists have long been warning of the

harmful effects of pesticides/antibiotics in farming and poultry/cattle

breeding. Alternate health practitioners too have been worried about people

becoming couch potatoes and TV/junk food addicts. Now mainstream medicine is

also stressing on the same;

It all boils down to;

1. You alone are responsible for your health.

2. Say no to pesticide infested/GM food.

3. Eat organic food. Eat natural, discard junk food.

4. Give up bad habits.

5. Exercise regularly.

6. Be emotionally stable. Do not give in to negative thoughts/habits.

Cultivate positivity.

7. Make happiness and not money the goal of your life.

8. Pray regularly, meditate regularly, be in touch with the "Source".

9. Reduce dependance on chemicals. Switch over to healthy modes of treatment.

Discontinue the habit of popping pills. No medicine is often the best

medicine

if you are reasonably healthy.

10. Question your doctor about the side effects of medicines/surgical

procedures.

Do not accept anything blindly. Exercise your right to question.

11. Read and implement the "Sermon on the Mount".

12. Be aware of issues that affect you, your society, your country, your earth.

Regards,

Jagannath.
