Guest guest
One thing I would like to add about water. Water is a living entity. When we boil water to kill the "germs" we also kill the life of the water. The resultant water does not give us the life force that we seek from it. The damage to the environment and water resources will be a very great stumbling block in our quest to return to health. Regards, Jagannath. Guest guest
the water itself isn't alive, but contains living organisms we don't obtain too much benefit from these organisms, and of course the concern is that some will cause life-threatening or chronic disease rather, we obtain benefit from the solvent properties of water itself, its elemental structure and electro-chemical properties, as well as the naturally occurring compounds that are dissolved in it when water is boiled it does not cease becoming water its electro-chemical properties may be changed somewhat, but these are recognized to affect the doshas in different ways and thus boiling water for different periods of time is one strategy to change the qualitative action of water in ayurveda water can be safely drunk without treatment if it is sourced from rain, fast-moving rivers/creeks, artesian wells and natural springs - however, none of this is an absolute guarantee the water won't contain harmful microbes, but rather, the risk is minimal in all cases where water quality is suspect it should be boiled for at least 2 minutes - this will kill 99% of all microbes Caldecott www.toddcaldecott.com > One thing I would like to add about water. Guest guest
My mother has been boiling water for years. Esp Tap water since it contains many many chemicals these days (chlorine, etc). She also adds in some amount of gold , silver and copper.. and boils it a considerable amount of time. She read about this "tonic" water as a source of good energy. also these days is the theory of magnetized water. how do these relate? > One thing I would like to add about water.
