Guest guest
Dear Dr Suri, Thanks for a good article covering both modern and ayurvedic views. However, this author has certain doubts and he will be happy to read your comments. 1. When reasons and symptoms of BPH are so well described in ayurveda, and the likelihood of urine infection is suggested by burning sensation/blood in urine, why modern ayurveda should need ultrasound/blood checks/urine tests/tissue biopsies. This author strongly feels that these are the greek/latin languages with which modern science has been impressing patients. Simplicity of ayurveda stands in glaring contrast. How well Sushruta would have managed the patients in absence of modern diagnostics? 2. Prostate enlargement in all men, and nearly 1/3 suffering from BPH are perhaps conclusions of modern science. This author would like to know is there any ayurvedic support for these statements? 3. It would be nice if you indicating the possible treatments and few medicines available in ayurveda. Would it be possible to manage BPH without any medicine?
