I went for acupuncture treatment for my stiff neck in April.

The physician mainly worked at the acupuncture points - C 1 point

at the top of the neck ( near to the ear) of both sides. The duration of

treatment were last for 2 - 3 hours at the acupuncture points., for working with

different muscle tissue.

Initially, the result was positive, however, side effects are manifesting for

the last few months. I am feeling uncomfortable in my eyes, out of balancing of

my body, the muscle of my neck and body is weaker, and many more.

Could someone on the lists recommand how to recovery back.

Thanks.

Dear yantee,

I don't know much about accupuncture treatment.

However one of the symptoms you mentioned as a side effect of the accupuncture

i.e. out of balancing of body might be due to a minimal damage to the one the

cranial nerves called "Vestibulo-cochlear nerve" the 8th cranial nerve, which

maintains balance of the body. The area near by the ear is the one of the places

of this nervecourse. And other symptom discomfort in eye aslo may be indicating

the involvement of other nerves which are responsible for eye movement and

vision.

Any how your case has to be clearly examined by an expert.

Tentatively some ayurvedic procedures and medicines ca help you to recover from

this problem.

1.Ksheerabala tailam 101 avarti.

use as 'Nasyam". Means instil 3 drops of gently warmed oil in each nostril

alternatively morning empty stomach. once daily.

2.Mahanaraya taila. as Karna poorana.

Means, keep 1 spoon of taila (gently warmed) in the ear and plug with cotton

swab alternately in each ear for 20-25 min.

twice daily morning after nasya and night before dinner.

3.Ashwagandha ksheerapak.

take 10 grms of ashwagandha powder in to a cup of milk add 4 cups of water boil

until 1 cup remains.Add 1 -2 spoons sugar. Take this ksheerapak twice daily 1hr

before break fast and before dinner.
