Prolong cycle when its appearance may cause invonvenience while carrying out religious functions, pujas etc 2. To obtain regularity of cycles for fertility treatment. 3. For hyperstimulation of ovaries to release more ovums for IVF treatment (infertility treatment) 4. To give relief from peri-menopause symptoms which exceed almost number 30. Women with heavy cycles extending over weeks are the maximum victims, when birth control pills are given and in case that does not work, hysterectomy is the final verdict. Often, ovaries are found affected by tumors/cysts and they are unceremoniously removed.
