Guest guest
Dear Mr GB Khalsa, Ayurveda has long recommended the use of Neti and Nasya for respiratory problems. This NEJM article only vindicates the power of Ayurveda in treating chronic illness. As I was going through the issue, my euphoria was short lived when I came across another article in the same issue about the usage of mercury. Despite their toxicity, I fail to understand why pharmacies resort to lacing drugs with toxic metals. Several folks in this group have recommended their usage as beneficial, but I sincerely feel that we should keep these metals out of limits. It's OK in India but whatever popularity Ayurveda gains in the West will be submerged with such cases of metal toxicity in Ayur Herbs. Check out this article. http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/full/354/3/e3 In case you cannot follow the link, I have uploaded the pdf version of this article in the "FILES" section K.
