Guest guest
I'd like to know what the cost per week is on average for PK in India. Can anyone give me various websites for clinics that do it and what the cost is per program or week? I know there are some clinics here, but I'm thinkng about going to Kerala for a month to seven weeks and would like to havve a long PK treatment. Thanks
Guest guest
Your choice of Kerala is right on track, as this particular state sets the standard for pancha karma treatments. Ayurvedic pancha karma is widely practised only in Kerala. That is why even college educated ayurvedic doctors from other parts of India come to the institutes in Kerala for practical training in pancha karma. Cost of treatment can vary quite a lot, mostly according to the level accomodation standards. Make sure you choose a place that clearly reflect your individual needs. A lot of luxury pancha karma vacation resorts are now springing up everywhere in India which are specifically catering to western standards, however the usual shortcoming is that the physician and treatment standards do not at all equal that of the reputed traditional treatment clinics. Pancha karma can be effective only if there is an experienced physician to diagnose and select the right medicines and fix the treatment and technically competent therapists. Fortunately there are now a few places where both of these aspects are being integrated. One such facility in Kerala that I am aware of and will shortly visit myself is the River Retreat Heritage Ayurvedic Resort near Trichur. http://www.riverretreat.in/ This resort was started by Asthangam Ayurvedics Pvt. Ltd and offers the expertise of the reputed Ashtavaidya Dr. Nambi, the Chief Physician of the famous S.N.A Oushadhasala and appointed as the visiting professor in Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Ayurvedic Institutions, Netherlands. http://www.thaikatmooss.com/about.html However, if you are on a tight budget, I would go to the Arya Vaidya Sala in Kottakkal. http://www.aryavaidyasala.com Check out this link also: http://www.ayurvedic-spa-vacation-in-kerala.com/Ayurveda-Spa- Resorts.html ~ Ole ayurveda, "Candace" <cox-ct wrote: > > I'd like to know what the cost per week is on average for PK in India. One clinic has their rates posted on the internet: http://www.ayurindus.com/user/ivacoffers.html Another clinic offered 2 1/2 hours of panchakarma treatment for 150 pounds English. Of course this is not true complete panchakarma treatment.

Guest guest
Thanks to all for your information about resorts and clinics in India. I once saw an add for a wonderful fine arts and crafts facility in Kerala where you could take classes of various kinds and they touted a great clinic nearby where you could undertake PK treatments. I never went, but now that I have high blood pressure, I thought it would be a good time for some R and R and PK. Again--thanks, Candace ayurveda, "alstrup" <alstrup wrote: > > Your choice of Kerala is right on track, as this particular state sets > the standard for pancha karma treatments.
