Guest guest
Yes, my husband (63) and I (62) and I both take it. I read everything I could about it beforehand. It is supposed to be a wonderful rejunvenator for women especially, but it is good for men also (I was sure before I gave it to him). It IS rejuvenating and I don't mean only in appearance. We've taken it for about two months. I am VERY sensitive to everything and it is one of a few things I didn't react to. The others are coriander (15 years--it's wonderful) and barley grass. Guest guest
I am a pitta/vata and I have found ashwagandha, triphala, and honey to be upsetting to my body chemistry by taking them very often (they are warming). I take shatavari on a daily basis with no problem. It a depends on your constitution. Katy
Guest guest
Does anyone have any information about this herb? I took one pill yesterday. I just had a baby 3 months ago and I heard it is supposed to calm your emotions and increase love and devotion. I felt so good after I took it. Has anyone else taken it? Is it safe to take everyday? Guest guest
Shatavari and Shankhpushpi are some of the best herbs to include as daily supplements to your diet. Of course you should definitely get advice on proportions and also compatibility with your health/medications prior to taking it.. Other great supplements include Triphala (awesome longterm), Ashwagandha and honey. riley_flower <riley_flower wrote: Does anyone have any information about this herb? I took one pill yesterday. Guest guest
Thanks everyone. I took it and I felt good the first day but on the second day I took it I had a little too much energy and my mind was racing. I am very sensitive to meds too. I am in an online course about alternative medicine and hopefully I will learn more about ayurveda because I dont know anything about it. thanks > Does anyone have any information about this herb? Guest guest
Hi. Because you said you are sensitive (I am too) I would like to mention something. I find it strange that you would have that particular adverse reaction to shatavari. You said you took a PILL of shatavari (I use the pure herb). It is possible that you reacted to a filler for the pill. Often magnesium stearate is used as a filler. THAT speeds me up. Read the label oon the bottle and see WHAT ELSE is in the pill besides shatavari. You are wise to start learning about natural healing. I use homeopathy, Ayurveda, and a little Chinese--all have been proven through the years. Good luck. Katy
