I am amazed at the seeker of purity

who, when it's time to be polished,

complains of rough handling...

That harshness isn't toward you, O son,

but toward the harmful qualities within you.

When someone beats a rug,

the blows are not against the rug,

but against the dust in it.

The all-powerful purifier is apparently not powerful enough to invent

a vacuum cleaner!  That is the complaint of this seeker of purity.

Nandu, you do crack me up!  My own thoughts were that if

I gave my cat or dog blows instead of soothing words when

I bathe them, they'd be long gone!  Meeeooww!
