Recognize all noise as the sound of your mantra.

Closing ears while chanting

Greetings to All!

I am a newbie and needs guidance on a very basic step.

I live near a very busy market place. So, there is no

quite ever. Which is making concentrating even on the

mantra sometime very difficult.

To get ride of the noise, can I put some cotton or ear

buds in my ears while chanting? Please note, I am not

doing meditation, but mantra chanting.

Please HELP !!!!!

Regards,

Puneet

I would have no problems doing that. But, is Dhyan neccesary while chanting?

I read somewhere that in Tantra, there's no need for concentration. Just chanting mantra with correct pronunciation is enough. I thought focusing on the deity is also an important factor for the success of any sadhana.

If the above is not correct, then, noise is a big NO NO for any mantra chanting.

I am very confused. Please someone help!!

Dearest Puneet,

I hope this helps.

The noise is not out-side, it is within you. Accept the noise as it is knowing this is the way the Divine wants you to practice. Everything is perfect. Let the noise be the silence, your cloak.

With love,

Vir

Bhai, just do the best you can. You are on a path, and are being guided, stop worrying about the results, just do the best you can. Relax... when one gets onto a bi-cycle for the first time, one tends to wobble .... come on, step by step, noise is given by Divinity, your divinity..enjoy...think different
