Guest guest
Sh. Prasad, It is true that Ekmukhi Rudraksha is a rare item. Revered persons like Sh. Arjun Pandit may give more clarity on this subject. There are a few known tests as far as the purity of Rudraksha is concerned. The following were learnt from a sadhu Maharaj, when I visited the temple of "Kaamakhya" in Guahati, Assam. *** Rudraksha when soaked in milk overnight should not bulge or increase in volume. (If it is a fake one made of wood it bulges or sizable increase in volume is perceivable) *** When Rudraksha is placed on a copper coin and touched its top slightly with another copper coin, it starts rotating in clockwise direction for one time. Through this mail I request the learned Scholar sh. Arjun Pandit to provde lucidity on the subject. Guest guest
Honestly speaking, the round ek mukhi rudraksh was never seen by me nor i wish i would be so blessed by the god even to have a glimpse of it. several companies are selling round ek mukhi rudraksh upwards of Rs.5,000 along with guarantee cards, but since no one has seen the original, no one can prove it false. only god knows on that but i neither criticise them nor recommend them. so let us not crave for that round ek mukhi rudraksh. the half moon ek mukhi rudraksh (kaaju type) has been used by me personally and have also observed with several others to whom i have given this and all of them concluded that this increases spirituality in the wearer and they become peaceful and saativc natured persons. i have neither seen nor guarantee any material benefits out of wearing it. however, i find no mention of two different types of (kaaju type and round type) in the scriptures but still this kaaju type is provind wonderful for a person to become saatvik and reach closer to god. if a person indulges in bad deeds and has bad habits or for women who feel uncomfortable in displaying it in their neck or for any other reasons, the best way to get the desired benefit of this kaaju type ek mukhi rudraksh is to worship it by placing it in your pooja place. This kaaju type ek mukhi rudraksh is available in retail (after energizing) upwards of Rs.1,000 and an unenergised one in wholesale market in higher reaches of the himalayas at around Rs.500. this rudraksh is made to be worn with a silver or gold pendant and the retail charges are high because of these costs as well as for energisation. even if a person buys this in retail at a very high price also, he or she shall not lament because, a holy object like rudraksh is priceless. for example, saaligrams from nepal are not supposed to be sold as in one puran it is mentioned as a sin. still the most sought after lakshmi, narasimha and srichakra type saaligrams are sold at a very high premium because of their rarity and the material benefits they bless to the worshipper. i too deal in offering these rare holy objects and charge a premium but feel no sin because it is only compensating my efforts in locating the best natural sources and making available these rare things and i too have paid premiums for getting them. the tests for knowing whether a rudraksh is pure or not are as follows: 1. it shall sink in the water and not float, it is floats it is a wooden one 2. no marks, signs, shapes or letters inscribed on rudraksh, if so they are fake 3. if you put a rudraksh in boiled water for few hours, original would remain intact 4. even a original rudraksh sometimes gets insects and becomes lightweight which shall not be worn or worshipped 5. if the edges of the rudraksh or cut while makeing a hole, it shall not used. in other words it should be free from any deformity. 6. if put between two copper coins and pressed, the original revoles. dont expect any swirl movement, even if it revoles once, it is good. 7. any rudraksh before energising is just an ordinary bead, but when you buy a rudraksh from the retail showroom, it must be energised and when you hold that in your hand grip and feel it for few minutes, you would feeal an energy flow, if it is energised. otherwise, you can conclude that the rudraksh has not been energised even though it is origianl. you can do your own energisation also. hope the above clarifies. in praise of lord shiva arjun KASTURI SUBBA RAO <kasturisrao > wrote: Sh.
