Guest guest
Hello List members, Any opinion on the 2 types of Lingas? There are different schools of thoughts regarding Linga. But it is generally regarding that Linga have to be dully installed for proper benefits unhless it is a syambhu Linga. Paarad Linga is manmade while Narmada is syambhu. There are some characteristic marks on Naramada Lingas as well. Do they have any significance. Is ther any type of Nsarmada lingas to be avoided? Also is there any restrictions to keeping Lingas in the house, I am asking this mainly becuase we do have non-veg food in the house now and then. Regards, Bhupendra. Guest guest
Bhakthi is most important. Lord Shiva is not going to ask you about the type of food consumed. Linga can be kept in the house and Lord is happy if you perform Abhishekam with water. Guest guest
Sh.Jamnadas, To acquire divine knowledge is great. However, one should not enmesh between bhakti and knowledge. As long as knowledge is not shoving one to make conditions, it is excellent. There are certain guidelines fixed to inculcate discipline in worship. These guidelines shall be treated as guidelines alone. "jnanam Bhandhanam" as said in Upanishads is corroborating the afore said thought. As long as the belief that the Lord is with in one, that person beyond doubt, is a purified soul . Please refer the Story of Bhakt Kannappa, Lord blessed him and accord liberation, who had no knowledge and considered as pamara (Illiterate). Most important obligation to worship Lord is Bhakti associate with Bhavana (feeling) and belief. To worship Lord, one need not chant any matra. The great saints say "Har Har Maha Dev Shambo" can work like Mantra, provided one has the belief in it. Further, it is pertinent to note that one should not do business with Almighty. That is O' Lord if you grant me the desire of mine, I will visit your holy pilgrimage, or I will perform …vrata, so on and so forth. The Lord Knows what to grant. Further, No Muhurat is inauspicious, as God had given us every moment. Lord created all living and nonliving beings, Chara Achara (Moving and Stable) and nothing is impure and untouchable. Please chant Panchakshari or Maha Mrityunjay mantra or any Mantra that pleases your mind with utmost reverence and regard, pleas drive away all doubts from the mind. "Shanka Anartha Hethu". Please do not worry that you do not have pedestal (Yoni Peeth) to place the holy Lingam. You may bring river sand and make its base (Yoni Peeth). After completing the Abhishek, you may make fresh one. Please do not wait until you get one. It is not possible to recover the moment that is spent. Let Lord Mahadev Bless you and fulfill you desires. AUM Namah Shivay. PS: With all humbleness and modesty, I would like to admit that there is no intention of hurting any body by flashing this thought. Guest guest
A mind game indeed...a game that my mind plays a lot...all the time. Pedestal is no longer the problem, a opinion was requested regarding Paarad and Naramada linga. Siva purana details very elaborate procedure for pratishta of even a mobile linga and hence the query, to perform these elaborate rituals of mantras that I do not even know gets beyond me and I am a little but afraid of doing something without following proper procedure and in the process annoy Maha- Deva. But all your responses have given me enough guidance. Sincerely, Bhupendra , "anil" <anil_bindal2000> wrote: > > very rightly said.. Guest guest
You know ?? when i meditate as a seer..as an observer of my self..not self but an observer of self..then i donot even feel like chasing Lord Shiva..and that is very confusing for me.. when i am not seer then my Kundalini awakens and when i am seer it is the self without any space and time..i mean just ISNESS , BEING, NOW.. any experiences from group members..? pl. check the PDF file on self-enquiry by Maharishi Ramana in the files section ? Guest guest
Eventually all we do is for good, if that good or bhakti is in our hearts other things become secondary. Lord sees only the good in our hearts, actually god will live in our hearts if we are good. --- kc3377 <kc3377 wrote: > yes u r right....the lord is happy only with > devotion..........bhakti > > Doctor.BalaKrishnaMurthy > Ramaraju,BS,MBBS,MS,FRCS,GERON wrote: > > > Bhakthi is most important.
