drushtvaa, yati samuchita vaesham praarudo maam tvamuchchaihi. gurukulamatha

sarvam praarudattae samaksham, sapadi charanayostae maaturastu pranaamaha.

It was in a dream that you saw me clad in the dress of a sannyasin. You were

not able to control yourself to see me in that attire. You rushed to my

gurukula. You embraced me and wept aloud openly. The entire gurukula wept

along with you. O mother, what else can I do , except falling at your feet and

offering salutations to you. Na dattam maatastae maranasamayae

toyamapi vaa, svadhaa vaa no daeyaa maranadivasae shraaddhavidhinaa. na japto

maatastae maranasamayae taarakamanuhu, akaalae sampraaptae mayi kuru dayaam

maataratulaam. O mother! at the time of your death even water was not

offered to you, by

me. Even your death anniversary , no oblation was offered to me according to

sraadha principles. At the time of your death the taaraka mantra was not

chanted by me into your ear. O, peerless mother, be compassionate to me. Please

forgive me, for i have arrived here late, when all things are over.

Muktaamanistvam nayanam mamaeti, raajaeti jeevaeti chiram suta tvam.

ityuktavatyaastava vaachi maataha, dadaamyaham tandulamaesha shushkam.

You were calling me with endearing words like," you are my pearl ; you are my

jewel; you are my eyes ; you are my prince ; you are my life ; long live you ,

my child and so on. In return , to the sweet words , uttered to me , I offer

you this dry rice, O, dear mother. Ambaeti taataeti shivaeti tasmin,

prasootikaalae yadavocha uchchaihi. krushnaeti

govinda harae mukundaetyaho, jananyai rachito (a) yamanjalihi At the

time of delivery , my dearest mother , you cried aloud in agonising labour

pains thus : O mother , O father,O shiva, krishna , govinda , O hari , O

mukunda and so on. May , my humble prostrations unto you , my dear mother , be

accepted
