Anyone using such a flawed ruby, even out of ignorance, will suffer from disease, or loss of fortune". ---Sri Garuda Puranam: Chap. 70 ---NOTE: 99% of Hindus I ever met wearing their own rubies, the quality was always as described in the 2nd part above,i.e., Junk. According to Sri Garuda Puranam (Sri Suta Goswami) junk-rubies are bad luck. If that is the case then having NO ruby is better than having a BAD ruby.
