Guest guest
The Valampuri (right handed) Conch is a very rare thing and is considered as very auspicious. The conch & pearl divers say that for a thousand normal ÔIdampuriÕ conches (left handed) one ÔValampuriÕ is found. They call this is the Raja Rani Shank. It is said that the Valampuri Shank is represented by Lords Vishnu, Shankara and Brahma together with the Goddesses Lakshmi, Ganga and Saraswati. It is used in temple worship and kept in the prayer room of homes. It is a symbol of purity and righteousness.
