Hello Ananda,

Where in Tiruvannamalai did you get the book "No Mind - I am the Self" by

David Godman? I thought the book was out of print and not available. Many

thanks and regards,

Venkat

Sorry for asking this a month after you posted.

I bought it in a shop opposite the ashram gate - Bhagavan Arts (for I think

Rs 395).

I have been trying to write a short review on it which i hope to post

shortly on the net.

In short, it is quite different from what Bhagavan himself would talk off

... there's stuff on miracles, spirits, previous births ...

He talks of how the transmission/energy takes place. In detail about how a

guru keeps trying the break the ego of his disciple.

He talks poignantly of the last days of Bhagavan.

Sardamma's path is totally that of surrender, she refused to do

atma_vichara. Lakshman Swamy used to chant "Hare Ramana" till his mind

became silent, then he would do "who am i". In the end, he too feels that

surrender is more important and he would recommend that to others.

Today, Lakshman Swami should be 81 years old, so if anyone wishes to be with

someone realized directly in Bhagavan's presence, please don't delay.

Looking at his photographs i immediately felt a tug from within, which is

rare for me. i will scan some pix of his and upload them too for others to

see.

For more details, pls write to me off-list, since i take it that this is

off-topic.
