Guest guest
Namaste, I heard recently that during the muslim invasion, the utsava mUrti of srIrangam was placed for safe custody at tirumala for around 40 years. Is this true? I have never been to srIrangam but I am under the impression that the utsava mUrti is the processional idol and not the main deity. Am I right? If so, where was the idol of the main deity during this period of muslim rule? Did it remain in srIrangam? Please reply if you know something about this. Also, a bit of history would be helpful. Special request to srI vaishnavas for help. Thanks. Regards Lakshminarayana Discussion of Shankara's Advaita Vedanta Philosophy of nonseparablity of Atman and Brahman.
