Namaste DharmaDev Arya,

A long time ago, I purchased from the Rudra Center a necklace of 2 parad beads with a center Asthadhatu bead. I was wanting to remember what the Asthadhatu metal meaning was. I believe it consists of a group of metals. I hunted all throughout the Rudra Center website - even the articles - and could not find any reference. Can you enlighten me with regard to it's uses and meanings?

Also, the present parad beads I have were purchased about 1 1/2 years ago. Do they have the "Parad Samhita with the 8 Samskaras" blessing or is that a new blessing?

Thank you,

Seline

Dear Seline Ji

Sounds like you might have the newer Parad........you would have to check

with Mrs Neeta on this to be sure as she knows the exact dates..........Ashta

means eight and Dhatu essentially metals so the Ashta Dhatu Locket is made of

eight different metals that balance the energy of the Parad Malas so a wearer can

wear all the time each day.......there are some that do not have the Ashta

Dhatu Locket on their Parad Mala and they do not wear every day........they

reserve only certain times of the year to wear......our Respected Member Alan

Scherr knows more about this matter

hope this helps

Wishing you and Family the Best
