Guest guest
Sat Nam Kartar Kaur! I haven't heard about potassium or magnesium for getting rid of cramps. What I have been told is that a lack of calcium is the cause of cramps. If you are going to take calcium supplements they should be taken in combination with magnesium otherwise you might get the opposite effect and deplete yourself of calcium by just taking calcium supplements. Eating foods is great to get the calcium you need. I would recommend eating lots of greens if you aren't already. Guest guest
a lack of potassium can cause fatigue and cramping as can dehydration. good sources of potassium are avocados, bananas, orange juice and potatoes. There is no RDA for Pot. although adults can safely consume about 5.6 grams of it a day from food sources. Most adults can consume up to 18 grams a day. A potassium level ow enough to cause cramping is unusual unless someone has had very bad diarrhea, or is taking other medication that can inhibit the body's absorption..Specifically blood pressure meds, and antinflammatories can be risky. More likely if there is a vitamin deficiency, it is B1, B6, or B5. Poor circuation could also be a factor. Make sure you are stretching your legs our when you feel the need. Good hydration and proper sodium and potassium intake should help. Good luck! Sarib Shakti Kaur kundalini_yoga (AT) hotmail (DOT) com wrote: Sat Nam Kartar Kaur!
