Guest guest
Dear Group, Someone said I have a hidden agenda for writing what I did. It is possible I do. We all tend to take sides when something is being discussed.. We all hold our own views on all matters.. I am a Ramana devotee but it doesn't mean I must agree with everythig he said.. We all tend to intepret Ramana or Jesus or Krishna according to our own predisposition.. We all have axes to grind. Some are more forthright like myself than others. That's why we have these forums..If everyone had the same views and said the same things we wouldn't need any forums. However I shall try not ruffle any feathers in the future..I think I am as devoted to Ramana and the teachings as the next guy in the group. alec Terms of Service. Guest guest
Dear Alec, It is not about the measure of devotion, or about taking sides, or about whether 'feathers get ruffled' - if, indeed, they do. Its about respecting and adhering to the aims and policies of the group. I am fully aware of the aims and policies of this group. Ramana ofcourse never liked to comment on the issues that were current in his time. He didn't like any sort of controversy. He knew it was pointless to talk about what was right and wrong in society..The point I've been trying to make is that people are the way they are including you and me because of our ego and the ego itself is a false entity put together by inherited traits and the milieu in which one took brith and grew up..So my ego has strong feelings..It is not happy with the way things are in the part of the world where it lives.. People are always trying to paper over the injustices prevailing in our society and my ego is sometimes difficult to restrain. I hope Ramana will forgive me..He knows my heart. alec Terms of Service.
