I joined this group recently. I`ve never done yoga and need some

advice on how to begin. I would like to learn meditations and

exercises for getting rid of consecquences of gender dysphoria:

depressions, irritability, panic attacks and lack of assertivenes.

There are no yoga teachers where I live. Does anyone know how to

begin Kundalini Yoga practice in my case?

Thanks in advance for any help you might share.

Love to all

Alina

Sat Nam,

welcome to the group. Any form of yoga can be helpful to help us feel

more comfortable in our body. Certainly most forms of meditation and

yoga will also help you learn to relax which will help with panic

attacks. You can practice kundalini yoga from a book but you could

also look for a teacher in another form of yoga as well since it alway

helps to have guidance.

Pardon my asking, and please feel free to not answer if you feel the

question is intrusive, have you been diagnosed as having gender

dysphoria or is this a conclusion you have come to yourself? Are you

working towards accepting and embracing who you are as an unique

individual with your own special gifts, talents and characteristics?

Sat Nam Alina,

    Welcome!

When we internalize the anger others feel toward us it becomes Inner

Anger. When instead of shining our spirit and expressing our outrage we suck

it in, we sow the seeds of self hatred and build Inner Anger. Inner anger

blocks us from having a relationship with ourself and thus we have

depression. One only contemplates suicide when this situation is present

dominant.  When our body system is cleared of this anger, it is then that

we are capable of loving ourselves and the body we are given.

The set for Inner Anger is a good choice (

http://www.sahej.com/inner_anger-one.html ) but before trying it familiarize

yourself with the basics of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Go to

http://kundaliniyoga.org/  for the free On Line course. We are available if

you need any guidance.

One thing I'll say, is our primary identity is that of being a Soul.

Which is beyond gender, race, age or your station in this life. Kundalini

Yoga*, particularly, speaks to that Truth, openly.  And while the purpose of

all systems of Yogas is to work with the Kundalini,  many practitioners

don't understand it and can't speak opening about it with maturity.

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is so varied from set to set, and so

complete in that respect, you will not need to try anything else.

From what I am gathering from your comments, a lot can be accomplished

through diet.

More on that later. I'm late for work

You have found the right place.

By the way, what is your complete birthday?

Sat Nam,
