I think can I understand why one would not wear rudrakshas around newborns. There might be energy overload issues, I would think. The wise Dharmadeva seemed to answer most of the taboo questions by saying, essentially, "Do what makes sense." But, why is it taboo to wear them at a funeral? BTW-- as you know, I am not Hindu. I have no religion, actually. I was raised Protestant, but it never "rang true." But, when I read the Bhaghavad Gita or Gita commentaries, they make so much "sense." They "feel right."
