Guest guest
Dear List Members- Namaskar! I must attend a funeral tomorrow night. It is a 3 hour trip to the site. I intend to wear my mala and choker during the entire day and during the car trip that afternoon. Of course, I have understood that funerals and being around new borns are strongly advised against. Without question, I don't intend to wear my mala and choker to either the receiving of friends or the funeral itself. My question is this, where can I place the mala and choker while in attendance. For example,I usually leave them both in a special box that I leave in my locked car when I teach Karate-do classes and then put them back on as soon as I return to the car. But if the car is on cemetary property or even on church property during the receiving of friends, is this considered too close in proximity to the deceased? Thank you one and all for any considerations. Sincerly, Joseph Rippy
