Guest guest Posted April 28, 2006 Report Share Posted April 28, 2006 Dear Friends Seemed appropriate to search the AgniMahaPuranam for references to the Holy Rudraksa and found new references have never seen before If anyone has more information on these words that describe the different classes of Rudraksa please let us know at ShiningLotus so we can try to understand more The nameing of the Genus of Rudraksa here seems to be ancient classical and comes light years before the anglos renamed the Genus in recent history Chapter 325 of the AgniMahaPurana states The class of Rudraksa known as the Hamis should be worn by consecrating them with the Siva Mantras The Rudraksas are divided into four classes ( Gocaras ) such as the Siva the Sikha and the Savitra.
