Guest guest
Hi Dharma Devaji This is a complete and total hunch..but am wondering if this may be in reference to the 4 different colors of rudrakshas. There are some scriptures that describe the 4 different groups of people who wear the 4 colors. It is a wild guess on my part..don't know for certain intellectually. But thought I would share..just in case there is the remote chance I am right :-) Namaste Kanti In a message dated 11/12/2002 12:00:57 PM Central Standard Time, shininglotus writes: > Dear Friends > > Seemed appropriate to search the AgniMahaPuranam for references to > the Holy Rudraksa and found new references have never seen before > > If anyone has more information on these words that describe the > different classes of Rudraksa please let us know at > ShiningLotus so we can try to understand more > > The nameing of the Genus of Rudraksa here seems to be ancient > classical and comes light years before the anglos renamed the Genus > in recent history > > Chapter 325 of the AgniMahaPurana states > > The class of Rudraksa known as the Hamis should be worn by > consecrating them with the Siva Mantras > > The Rudraksas are divided into four classes ( Gocaras ) such as the > Siva the Sikha and the Savitra. Guest guest
I have also read that each of the four castes should wear a different color of rudraksha. The Brahims sould wear "white," ect. I cannot remember where I read it, though. I was also a little put off by the acrimony of the bija mantra exchange. So, I am going to leave the group, now, also. However, I thank you all very much for your kindness and generosity with your experience and expertise. I wish all of your the very best of everything. Thanks, again! Guest guest
Kantiji, you read my mind, about the guys. Interesting, I KNEW you were gonna "call time" BEFORE you "called time." I thought, "Aha, NOW she's gonna step in..... Yep, here she comes!" I really DO love men, but, you know.... sometimes...... , thunderheals@a... wrote: > Yes, I agree with Rudra Joe Here. > I was out and came home to all of these postings from Group site and couldn't > imagine what all the interest in Bija mantras was :-) > > I think it is really nice to see someone defend a friend even if said person > may have overestimated fire power needed for situation... was sorta like > using a canon to shoot a squirrel. Largely agreeing with the foregoing as well as the following, I do hope Kariji will stay. People have all kinds of ups and downs and in this relative world we can't even tell the ups from the downs most of the time. So chalk it up to some karmic process and bear with us. However, I did chuckle at the last paragraph above: "NO WOMAN WOULD ACT THAT WAY". Clearly, thunderheals hasn't been in some of the I'm in! I've encountered some awesome manifestations of Ma Durga in those places. (Durga = strong or impenetrable or a hard to reach. Durg also means a fortress).
