Guest guest
Hi. I had hepatitus as a child and blood donation place kicks me out immeditately as something from that stays in blood. But it is a wonderful idea for those who can and I'm told is relatively effortless and painless. Thanks for your sharing Kanti In a message dated 3/5/2003 1:03:37 PM Central Standard Time, kirk_bernhardt writes: > It's true. Guest guest
Dear Dhramadevji, Babaji, Krikji, Tomji, Kantiji, nitaji and meny friends, I am very new to this site and spend my most of the web time in reading your postings, so thought we can all do good karma - donate the blood... There was a fact sheet infront of me when I went to donate the blood today: Average adult has 10-12 pints of blood in his/her body. Every three seconds someone needs blood. Alothough 75% of all people will use blood or blood products as some point in their lives, only 4% donate. Through a process of separating blood into its individual parts, known as component fractions, a single unit of blood can help extend the lives of as many as three people. Blood must be available to the patient at the instant it is needed. This why it is important for people to donate before the fact, so the blood can be collected, processed and ready to be transfused immediately. No susbtitutes for blood have ever been found, when patient requires blood, there is only one source - another huma being. --- Remember inspite of our religion, color and all the differences, blood color is red. This is what always tells me is a - Gods miracle. He forces us to help someone inspite of religion and body color). Love, Sandip

Guest guest
One of the ladies at my office is a Red Cross coordinator. She asks us to donate 2-3 times per year. We donate right in the office. , "Kirk" <kirk_bernhardt@c...> wrote: > It's true. Guest guest
Not anymore. You can now donate if you had it before age 12, I think. I had it at age 10, and can now donate. , thunderheals@a... wrote: > Hi. Guest guest
Nope. Not strain of bug. They changed the rules about three years ago. I've been donating ever since (to make up for lost time <g>). , thunderheals@a... wrote: > Wow..that's neat. I'll look into it. Have never heard that.
