Namaste Nileshji:

I am pretty certain we have someting on this listed in the subject Index

file.

Coming from an Anglo Culture. I relate to the colors differently..more

according to color healing or a better way is how shakti emanates and

interacts with wearer via different colors.

I have seen Nepal beads that also are Orange.

Please check the files because I am starting to recall someone might have

posted something from one of the Holy Scriptures

Om Shanti.

Dear Mr. Nilesh,

As you have mentioned, Rudraksha colours and which 'Varna' should wear which

specific colour bead is all artificial and was ok for the earlier period when

there was a 'Chaturvarnya System' was adopted in our society. Now, as you know

the time has changed and all such beliefs are un-necessary. White bead is

extremely rare and there is no authenhtically publilshed report about its

existence. We get, sandy white beads in 3 mukhi and rarely in 1mukhi Nepal

Round bead which is extremely rare. Other colour beads are available. Red and

brown are more common and black beads are few in nos. You get beautiful light

yellow or shiny cream coloured beads. There are also beads of mixed colour,

which generally show mosaic pattern if you observe them under the lens. Colour

has no meaning. The bead is important. I met few persons in the field of

'Shaivism' who are of the opinion that even it is not important to insist on any

particular type of definite Mukhi bead if it is not available, the only

important thing is to have faith in beads you are wearing, even ordinary 5mukhi

also gives all results.

Thanking you and with best wishes.

The multi- colored beads are so beautiful.

I have two..a 9 and a 12 I can't bring myself to string and use them on a

puja as they have a coloration on the top around the hole just like flowers!

That 12m we found for you was great..reminded me of sunshine :-)

Received some new 9's for a mala project I am working on and the oil that was

used for blessing is so heavenly..very sweet and you can smell it on the

beads when wearing them :-) Definately not sandalwood.

Dear Nileshji

Namaskar My Friend and thank you for your message

Yes these colors are mentioned in the Holy Books according to caste system that

was in place at the time of the writing of the Siva Puran and Yes of course some

people do wear by these rules

However today most people I have seen seem to naturally mix the different colors

and this is a wonderful way to wear because this type of wearing is totally

inclusive of all the colors

Thanks and Take Care My Friend

To say nothing of the beautiful, multi-colored beads, like the 12 I

bought from Kantiji-- dark brown with red and orange stripes.

What kind of oil is that!? It was on the Kantha I received. I

enjoyed it too. My sandalwood oil doesn't smell like that.
