Guest guest
Wow, Babaji, what a great find !! Another "Keeper" posting from you ! :-) Yes, this style of mala shouldn't break. We've talked about how mala making is a meditation experience. This type of mala most certainly is a dharana in patience !!!! This is style of punch mukhi malas that are made in Siddha Yoga ashrams. I have had great success with a special wire called "Accu-Flex", which I actually get from Fire Mt. :-) Is very tough cable, but pliable like thread.. Neetaji and I were just talking about stringing rudraksha. Because the holes are natural..inside the holes sometime are rough, sharp edges which causes the breakage. Please, Babaji..when you finish your creation please show us as I would love to see you handiwork with the pliers ! :-) Ha ! Take care and thanks for sharing this find. Guest guest
Baba, thank you SO much! That's the wire tech that is used, also, in some of the navratna chains pictured on the rudraksha-ratna w/s, and I've been wondering how it was done. BTW-- I also prefer 20 gauge. I started with 24, and found that it didn't have the "holding power." Thanks, again! , "Sri Janaardana Kalianandaswami" <baba108@h...> wrote: > I find 20 gauge wire works best > > > > , "Sri Janaardana > Kalianandaswami" <baba108@h...> wrote: > > Namaste > > > > It is time for this jiva to part with thread, fishing line etc. I > no > > longer feel the need to have my blessed Rudrakshas falling on the > > ground and rolling around. Guest guest
Yeah, I printed the page off, because I want to refer to it, often. I've wanted to learn that tech, since viewing the navratna chains on the w/s. They LOOK delicate, but they are actually very, very tough to break. , thunderheals@a... wrote: > Wow, Babaji, what a great find !! > Another "Keeper" posting from you ! :-) > > Yes, this style of mala shouldn't break. > We've talked about how mala making is a meditation experience. > This type of mala most certainly is a dharana in patience !!!! > > This is style of punch mukhi malas that are made in Siddha Yoga ashrams. > > I have had great success with a special wire called "Accu-Flex", which I > actually get from Fire Mt. :-) Is very tough cable, but pliable like thread.. > > Neetaji and I were just talking about stringing rudraksha. > Because the holes are natural..inside the holes sometime are rough, sharp > edges which causes the breakage. > > Please, Babaji..when you finish your creation please show us as I would love > to see you handiwork with the pliers ! :-) Ha ! > > Take care and thanks for sharing this find. > Kanti > > In a message dated 3/8/2003 9:19:54 PM Central Standard Time, > baba108@h... writes: > > > Namaste > > > > It is time for this jiva to part with thread, fishing line etc. I no > > longer feel the need to have my blessed Rudrakshas falling on the > > ground and rolling around.
