Guest guest
Dear List, Greetings to everyone, may all be well with you ! I recently read that small cracks were a natural part of each Rudraksha Bead, especially near the mouth. I have beads that have very decernable sized cracks, some that appear hairline in appearance, and some that are completely devoid of cracks. I would like to use some of these very small hairline cracked beads but I am not sure what is acceptable. The books generally say no beads with cracks. MY QUESTION IS: What is considered acceptable crack size if any? Would someone describe the variations in a bit of detail so that we may know what is usable in wearing and what beads would be best kept at the place of worship in gratitude for the work they have already done? Guest guest
Dear Josephji Generally there is a good range of different opinions regarding crack sizes Cracks you are describeing can range from microscopic to readily seen with normal eyesight To add to this equation there are those who concentrate on the cracks and then there are those who concentrate on the Beads themselves If something about the cracks bothers a person to the point that they would want to retire the Beads to the alter then by all means retire them to the alter and replace with other Beads Beads are extremely Happy as long as they are kept in the Family so to speak >From what I have seen acceptability is really a personal judgement based on individual intuition Thanks and Take Care My Friend DharmaDev jrip_37923 <joseph <> Thursday, March 20, 2003 3:24 PM What is AcceptableRudraksha Crack Size ?
