Namaskar

Often this issue has risen , whether one should go by what the planets say

or should one go by what the rudraksh volumes mention.

I am wearing 3 of 5, 2 of 6 and 1 of 7 for the past 60 days and currently have

Rahu mahadasa till June 2003 (by some ) and till June 2004 (by others). The past

17 odd years have often made me go one step ahead and two steps back, meaning

i am back in the same position that i started with. ( nothing). well i am

talking basically

from the financial, and mental peace. Dont know what to do and pretty confused

at times.

Please advise.

We need to take a minute to try and clarify

Srikanth is not the person posting the message about Mantra

Message regarding Mantra is posted by Jose Reymundi

Jose has only told us that he has basicly made this Mantra himself and now is

encourageing others to try this. Have asked him for some histrory on the Mantra

because cannot recognize this as a traditional Mantra

At the minimum...... Traditional Mantra Science strictly demands.... some kind

of minimal understanding.... regarding what the Mantra you are reciteing is

meant to Accomplish

Is not healthy to recite unknown words that a person might call a

Mantra........ simply because a person says to try this one or try that one so

you can see what happens

Hope this helps

Dear Dasguptaji

Namaskar My Friend

Miss Kanti has said that Friend Jorge most certainly means sitting in Lotus

Position

In any case this is what we are hopeing and am sure he will explain this

soon : )

Easiest way to explain Mantra of the Devata is an example

Mantras of Lord Ganesha are chanted with Lord Ganeshas 8 Mukhi Rudraksa Bead

Mantras of Goddess MahaLakshmi are chanted with the 7 Mukhi Goddess

MahaLakshmi Rudraksa Bead

If you like please see www.SanskritMantra.com and also the book Healing

Mantras by Thomas Ashley-Farrand for additional Mantras and their values and

effects

The teacher I learn from always tells me to expand my consciousness

when I experience difficulties, and to go deep within until awareness

is identified with the changeless, serene, and completely whole Self.

We are influenced by externals (planets, thoughts, karma, people) to

the extent that we identify with them. Identify with pure

consciousness and the rest will fall away. Invite your meditations to

deepen and your days to be more immersed in pure consciousness that

is completely supported by nature and evolution.

Dear Ryan

Thanks so much for the knowledge. Maybe merging oneself into

pure consciousness would make the individual oblivious to the

external changes.

Thanks again

Or, you can used the beads to pacify the planets, and then merge into

other uses, as the planetary karmic energies break up. That's what I

did.

Namaste Vijayji:

Agree with everything that Ryanji and Kariji shared.

A couple of things:

The scriptures state that the rudraksha are more effective if one observes

that there is a suggested minimum for each mukhi. Would suggest that you wear

3 of 6 mukhi and 2 of 7 mukhi and you may find that to be very helpful.

Would also suggest that you look into the powers of 10, 11, and 9 mukhi.

10 is especially helpful in overcoming any and all negative planetary

influence and is connected to Lord Vishnu.

9 and 11 mukhi also have these qualities to assist wearer in rising above all

negativity.

11 being Lord Hanuman's bead and 9 is for Goddess Durga.

You need to wear one of these beads.

You perhaps should consider wearing the rudraksha that is associated with the

Devata you feel the closest to as that increases the devotional bond with

that deity and will increase the blessings.

I too, believe that rudraksha assist the individual in connecting to the

power of the Divine Self that is beyond the reach of the planets and that

they do indeed transmute the karma that is presented in astrological charts.

Take care.

BTW-- Vijay, I started wearing beads just prior to my Rahu mahadasa,

because it was predicted to be fairly severe.

I have found that it is going much better than predicted. I think that

that karma has dissipated, to the point that my birth chart has become

much less relevant.

If I were you, I would wear the beads in the numbers that Kantiji has

suggested, to maximize the power of their changes.

Dear Karisprowl,

May i know which mukhi beads helped you throughout Rahu MahaDasa? I am under

Rahu dasa too. About another 6 years to end it all.

Are you sure your Rahu dasa was predicted to be bad? Can you provide your

birth data so i can see if Rahu is under a benefic nakshatra and in which

house and if it was aspected by malefics?

I personally feel it is worthwhile also to wear beads for the planets

casting MALEFIC aspects onto the MAHADASA and BUKTI lord. If this condition

is satisfied then Mahadasa could run smoothly.

Regards,

Agreeny.

Namaste Kantiji

Many thanks for the advise. I will ctc Ms Neeta at rudraksh-centre and get the

rudraksh. I was sometime back advised a 6,7, 12 mukhi by Rudraksh-ratna , so

should i be wearing 9,10,11,12 ? please advise.

You have also mentioned abt ISHTHADEVATA, since i have been wanting to speak to

somebody abt this, i would like to tell you----

well right from childhood i have had a fascination and am in constant AWE about

divine shiv ling and Lord Shiva, as a child (& even now) i am thoroughly under

AWE (cant get the right word) whenever i look at the Shiv linga or Lord Shiva's

photograph. ( well the word could be most powerful looking diety). Somewhere

during the course of my life i went away from the feel of lord shiva but in the

back of the mind the Ling held a HYPNOTIC POWER OVER ME( it still does, i feel i

should go on looking at it). Now that Lord Rudra has called me back i am under

a conflict whether i can live upto the expectations/rules/guidelines of wearing

a rudraksh -- but thats it and if you ask me then yes Lord Shiva has somehow

been the first to come to my thoughts.

Whew that was pretty long, thanks for having perused the above. Also from the

time that i have enrolled into this group i am

constantly (everyday) looking out for the messages sent by the other members. I

gather that all the MEMBERS IN THIS GROUP

MUST BE HAVING THE SAME FEELING, OF A LINK, A SPIRITUAL LINK, AS IF A POWER

WANTS US ALL TO BE IN TOUCH WITH EACH OTHER, AS IF THERE IS A PURPOSE FOR THIS

GROUP, SOMETHING THAT WE ALL ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING TOGETHER- believe me the

above words have just come to my mind NOW, and while i am typing into this mail.

Maybe one of this days we will all come to know what is it that Lord Rudra wants

us to do.

Om Namah Shivaya Shivaya Namah Om

Re: Astrology V/s Rudraksh

Or, you can used the beads to pacify the planets, and then merge into

other uses, as the planetary karmic energies break up. That's what I

did.

We don't live our lives for Shiva but for the highest human dharmas and Shiva

helps us. If you look throught the course of history you find only human

actions and reactions. The gods are not found, and so it's best to live to the

highest human ideals utilizing the god's help for inspiration while focusing on

present good.

What really is naturally occuring is a symbiotic relationship between human

perception and the divine within. They can both be integrated so that the

worldly and divine intersect and suffering is eliminated. If Shiva wanted to

run your life he would just manifest and boss you around. All of life rather is

a larger experiment in original thinking and necessity as the mother of

invention.

In fact we are all really divine already and there is no difference between us

and Shiva already as Shiva is always as close to us as our own hair. Wearing

rudraksha is a testament to this fact of the divine within. Wearing them

without we remind ourselves.

Re: Astrology V/s Rudraksh

Namaste Kantiji

Many thanks for the advise. I will ctc Ms Neeta at rudraksh-centre and get the

rudraksh. I was sometime back advised a 6,7, 12 mukhi by Rudraksh-ratna , so

should i be wearing 9,10,11,12 ? please advise.

You have also mentioned abt ISHTHADEVATA, since i have been wanting to speak

to somebody abt this, i would like to tell you----

well right from childhood i have had a fascination and am in constant AWE

about divine shiv ling and Lord Shiva, as a child (& even now) i am thoroughly

under AWE (cant get the right word) whenever i look at the Shiv linga or Lord

Shiva's photograph. ( well the word could be most powerful looking diety).

Somewhere during the course of my life i went away from the feel of lord shiva

but in the back of the mind the Ling held a HYPNOTIC POWER OVER ME( it still

does, i feel i should go on looking at it). Now that Lord Rudra has called me

back i am under a conflict whether i can live upto the

expectations/rules/guidelines of wearing a rudraksh -- but thats it and if you

ask me then yes Lord Shiva has somehow been the first to come to my thoughts.

Whew that was pretty long, thanks for having perused the above. Also from the

time that i have enrolled into this group i am

constantly (everyday) looking out for the messages sent by the other members.

I gather that all the MEMBERS IN THIS GROUP

MUST BE HAVING THE SAME FEELING, OF A LINK, A SPIRITUAL LINK, AS IF A POWER

WANTS US ALL TO BE IN TOUCH WITH EACH OTHER, AS IF THERE IS A PURPOSE FOR THIS

GROUP, SOMETHING THAT WE ALL ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING TOGETHER- believe me the

above words have just come to my mind NOW, and while i am typing into this mail.

Maybe one of this days we will all come to know what is it that Lord Rudra

wants us to do.

Om Namah Shivaya Shivaya Namah Om

Re: Astrology V/s Rudraksh

Namaste Vijayji:

Agree with everything that Ryanji and Kariji shared.

A couple of things:

The scriptures state that the rudraksha are more effective if one observes

that there is a suggested minimum for each mukhi. Would suggest that you

wear

3 of 6 mukhi and 2 of 7 mukhi and you may find that to be very helpful.

Would also suggest that you look into the powers of 10, 11, and 9 mukhi.

10 is especially helpful in overcoming any and all negative planetary

influence and is connected to Lord Vishnu.

9 and 11 mukhi also have these qualities to assist wearer in rising above

all

negativity.

11 being Lord Hanuman's bead and 9 is for Goddess Durga.

You need to wear one of these beads.

You perhaps should consider wearing the rudraksha that is associated with

the

Devata you feel the closest to as that increases the devotional bond with

that deity and will increase the blessings.

I too, believe that rudraksha assist the individual in connecting to the

power of the Divine Self that is beyond the reach of the planets and that

they do indeed transmute the karma that is presented in astrological charts.

Take care.

Kanti

I don't tell my birthdate (a lady never tells) <g>. But, I will tell

you that several astrologers predicted a very severe Rahu mahadasa,

with an unfortunate Mars hard aspect. I also wear beads for malefics,

as well as benifics. Rahu is in the 12th house, the house of losses

and constraints. My nakshatra is Revati. I am a manglik, so I had to

work on my agni. With the beads and twice-daily meditation, I managed

to transform a lot of my temper into warmth and dynamism.

A pair of eight mukhi is said to control Rahu. The 8s are ruled by

Ganesha, so obstacles can be removed. The "Om Shanti" combination

pacifies all the planets. That's a 10, 11, and 12.

Once you begin to feel and see the karmic energies break up (mostly

be seeing changes in yourself and your circumstances-- and comments

from friends), then you will no longer feel bound by your birthchart.

I started with a pair of 8s, to control Rahu. Then 9s, for

protection, and 7s for prosperity. I now wear 1-13, in the prescribed

multiples, and will soon order a 14. I liked the effects so well, I

just kept adding, one or two beads at a time.

Take care, Kari

Dear Kari,

I too have a hard aspect of Mars on Rahu and am Manglick too. This aspect is

said to be quite nasty as i have Mars in Lagna and Rahu in 8th. Hence also a

Manglik. Some sources say Rahu represents the "Sarpa" and this aspects

constitues "Sarpa Dosha". As Rahu represents "sarpa or nagas" aspect of Mars

makes Rahu very aggressive and hence the Rahu Maha dasa can be quite tense.

>From reading about rudrakshas the 7 mukhi and 12 mukhi are said to represent

Nagas. 3 mukhi for Agni or Mars is good to pacify the Mars. I have yet to

choose mine. 7 mukhi represents Ananta Sesha Nag and 12 mukhi is said to

remove sins of killing snakes.

You mentioned the beads you using are in pairs. I am choosing one of each.

However do i need to now re-consider choosing 2 of each bead? What is the

source of beads to be worn in pairs? Do you mean they are more effective if

worn in pairs as per your own experience?

Also what about drinking, smoking and meat eating? Does one need to

re-consider all these as well?

Om Shanti,

Agreeny.

Hi,

A certain planet in ones birth chart rules for a number of years depending

of position on MOON. If one comes under Rahu rulership and Rahu rules then

is called Rahu Mahadasa. It runs for 18 years. It may so happen that one may

not encounter the rulership of RAHU at all. Depending on

favorable/unfavorable aspects from other planets Rahu Mahadasa may or may

not be good.

Hope it helps.

Om Shanti,

Agreeny.

My moon is in Meena.

Yes, I entered Rahu mahadasa, for 18 years, starting in late October.

One strong concern that the jyotishis expressed was that Rahu was in

hard aspect to maraka Mars. I heard that from three different

astrologers.

I think wearing the beads has "softened" the effects of the dasa. The

beads healing energies, and my increased meditations (caused by

wearing the beads) have been changing my energies, thus breaking up

some karma.

That's why I say to the folks on this list, I believe that the beads

can protect from adverse plantetary energies. I believe it of my own

experience. In fact, I stumbled on the rudraksha-ratna w/s while

looking for gem therapy information. I found that the beads work

better than the gems, at least, for me.

Thanks a bunch!

That much agni is tough to live with. I know that of my own

experience.

You are in good company, though-- I read that Beatle Paul McCartney

has Sarpa Dosha.

8th is, indeed, not a good house for Rahu. The Mars aspect makes it

nasty.

If I were you, I would wear three 3s, two 7s, and one or two 12s. I

wear those beads, I find them effective. I have read, from the experts

on this list, that only one 12 is necessary, but a pair of twelves

works better. Be sure to string them head-to-head and tail-to-tail. I

string them on metal, so that the energies conduct. I used to make

radios when I was a little girl. I sort of make my jewelry like radios

<g>

Fives (in a group of three) help with the out-of-control agni, too.

And, 11 is the bead of Lord Hanumaan, who can help with manglik dosha.

http://www.cyberastro.com also has a Hanumaan kavach for manglik

dosha.

I've always thought a good bracelet for mangliks might be made from

three 3s, three 5s, and one or two 11s.

Thanks, and take care. Kari

I forgot to answer about drinking, smoking, and meat-eating. I do not

drink or smoke, but I have eaten meat. I find that as I wear the

beads, I am becoming more vegetarian.

I have read that people with the above-mentioned habits who wear the

beads find that they often change their habits. I don't think that the

habits affect the beads, I think the beads affect the wearer, so that

the habits can eventually change.

Thanks!

BTW- 2-6 mukhi beads should be worn in threes, 7 & 8 should be worn in

twos, for optimim effect.

Take care.

Oh! Another thing, Ash (I shouldn't try to do this early in the

morning-- I keep forgetting to mention things <g>). A pair of eights

pacifies Rahu. A 10,11 and 12 pacifies all the planets. If two of each

is worn, I imagine that the protection would be very strong.

Dear Kari,

Thanks for the link on Hanumaan Kavach. Could you please clarify when you

say : "string them head-to-head and tail-to-tail" ? Do you mean as it is in

necklace?

I also hear that to string them in metal wire is best as it conducts energy.

Is this thread actually called tiger tail thread?

Om Shanti,

Ash.
