Guest guest
Namaste. Both styles of sphatik are excellent. It is simply a matter of personal taste if one chooses the faceted or un faceted style I have worked with both the light weight (.014) and medium weight (.019) cable in the Accuflex. The difference in widths depend on the size of the holes of the beads I am using. Very small beads, coral and pearl usually have very small holes so the light weight is needed. Actually have had no problem with the wire breaking. One must be skillful in using crimp beads . If they aren't closed properly they can come apart and entire mala can come apart.. There are illustrated instructions on line on how to do that but I don't have that info. You may want to check the Subject Index on our File Page of Discussion Group Home Page . Any bead store can teach this as well. Guest guest
Ash, you will be a mala-maker yet! I second all that Kantiji said, and add one thing. If you use crimp beads to close the ends of the mala, I suggest you get some crimp pliers. They squash the crimps good and tight. Fire Mountain and any beads store have them. , thunderheals@a... wrote: > Namaste. > > Both styles of sphatik are excellent. > It is simply a matter of personal taste if one chooses the faceted or un > faceted style > > I have worked with both the light weight (.014) and medium weight (.019) > cable in the Accuflex. > The difference in widths depend on the size of the holes of the beads I am > using.
