Where in the Bhagavatam are you finding this Nileshji ?

I've noticed that sometimes this sort of thing is mentioned later on in the

same section or one right after.

I am the "source" of This Quote :

" No quality of any material including sons or any living organism

can be equal to even one aspect of Rudraksa what to speak of its all

the 16 aspects ? " - Srimad Devi Bhagavat(am)

from :

http://www.rudraksha-center.com/Artiklar.htm

It is taken from Subas Rais book " Rudraksa Properties and Biomedical

Implications "

DharmaDev ,if we can not find the quote in your SrimadDeviBhagavat

Dear Davidji

Namaskar and Thank You for the information My Friend as this solves the mystery

Yes certainly we need to be cautious about certain things we read especially

when our intuition tells us that it simply doesnt sound right

Reason this quote from Subas Rais Book does not sound right is because it is not

a direct quote from the SriMadDeviBhagavat

As in other modern day interpreations there are sometimes mistakes found in the

transliteration and rewriting of the Scriptures in other languages by modern day

interpreters.

There are some mistakes in interpretation in the Subas Rais book and at least

one of his pictures in his book. The interpretation mistake we are looking at

here happened most likely because the interpretation printed in his book was not

compared to the reference text for correct transliteration before it was printed

Direct quote in SriMadDeviBhagavat Chapter 11 verse 1 is

Isvara said : O Kartikeya ! Kusagranthi, Jivapattri and other rosaries cannot

compare to one sixteenth part of the Rudraksa rosary

Next sentence in the Subas Rai Book continues along the lines of the

SriMadDeviBhagavat in a format designed to reduce the printing of all the words

found in the actual references and starts with Visnu is the best of all the

Purusas the Ganga is the best of all the Rivers

The quote seen on page 40 of the Subas Rai book gives a totally different

interpretation specific to what one sixteenth is referring to. What is printed

in his book regarding this verse is not relative to the actual verse in the

SriMadDeviBhagavat that is specifically talking about the value of the Rudraksa

Rosary only

The process we have been useing here to check the Subas Rai book is to go

directly to the Holy Books to see exactly what the complete verses are

Additionally when I checked the Bija Mantras given in the Subas Rai Book for the

Holy Rudraksa from Siva Purana References I found there were mistakes there

also. When the Article for the Club Site was written about two weeks ago on

Mantra for Rudraksa Japa the Mantras for the 6 Mukhi and 9 Mukhi Rudraksa were

corrected in this article

The Subas Rai Book lists Om Hrim Namah for the 6 Mukhi and 9 Mukhi Beads

The Siva Purana gives the correct Bija Mantras for the 6 Mukhi Lord Kartikeya

and the 9 Mukhi Goddess Durga Rudraksa as Om Hrim Hum Namah

The Subas Rai book is really good as an index or kind of a table of contents for

where the information can be found in the Holy Books and then what we have done

is go directly to the Holy Books for the complete Knowledge

Thanks and Take Care My Friend

The only place Google found the quote was on your Swedish

distributor's w/s. However, it did not deliniate the 16 aspects--

just referred to them.

Dear Friend

Thanks for this

Am sure there is that possibility however have not checked all of the verses

printed in his book. Since we found a few of these mistakes already then anytime

we see a verse from his book that we would like to share with others we check

references from known transliteration experts for the Holy Books

Do not have the history on this however Dr Subas Rais expertise may have been in

the contemporary scientific studies he did with the Rudraksa and their

Scientific Biomedical Implications on the Human Neurophysiology

He had a team of scientists and experts in their fields working on the studies

shown in his book and we dont know the name of the person who had the

responsiblities of rewriting some of the references from the different Holy

Books

Thanks and Take Care My Friend
