Guest guest
Namaste everyone, I have been interested in the Parad Shiva Lingam that Rudra Center offers. I have a question, though. Is it safe to, after having offered water, etc... partake of it as prasad? Is there any dangers from mercury or lead poisoning? Thanks and Blessed Be Soma
Guest guest
It's not wise to drink this or even touch over much. It's good to coat with artist's permanent shellac painting varnish and then one can hold without worry or even dip in water for the homeopathic effect. - somaphoenixx Wednesday, April 16, 2003 12:38 PM Parad Shiva Lingam/Yoni Namaste everyone, I have been interested in the Parad Shiva Lingam that Rudra Center offers. Guest guest
Somaji, What I understood from your post is that, you want to take the Abhisheka Water of the Parad Shiv Lingam as a prasad. There is no harm in this. I also do this. My abhishek water consists of Plain Water, Milk, and Rose Water. It tastes nice. Guest guest
LOL, yes I ment the water from offering first to lingam then taking the water as prasad. Guest guest
Hello - I completely agree with DharmaDev on the issue of not ingesting anything that has been in direct contact with the parad lingam. It is not just that the lingam contains lead, but the actual parad or mercury that it contains has not been through the complex processes required to render it non-toxic. In this sense, it is more like the mercury amalgams that are used in dental fillings and is very toxic. As far as the pills DharmaDev refers to, there is one in particular known as "Makaradwaja" which contains ayurvedic healing herbs along with alchemically purified mercury. It is a very powerful tonic. I include below a paragraph that explains it clearly: The most famous of the mercury-based compounds is the rasayana (rejuvenative) Makaradwaja. Makaradwaja consists (primarily) of mercury, sulfur, and gold. This compound is capable of providing endurance, energy, increased immune function and longevity to its taker. Makaradwaja seems to work by allowing prana, tejas and ojas to flow into parts of the subtle physiology where it would not normally be able to flow, clearing many of the blockages which may be present. If taken prior to meditation or even sleep, it can even be seen to permeate the nadis (subtle energy-channels). Mercury allows the body to digest the otherwise only partly digestible element of gold. This allows the concentrated "solidified sunlight," gold, to gild the bodies immune system and aura. On a subtle level it actually has the appearance of a volatile mercury, streaming through the bodies channels. It is excellent for diseases such as A.I.D.S. and different forms of cancer. The average treatment routine, repeated on a yearly basis, should last for about a month, depending on the individual, usually in the coldest months of the year. Makaradwaja is available through ayurvedic sources such as Dr. Lad's ayurvedic clinic in New Mexico and others. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Soma, There is now a days lot of discussion on Mercury. Scientifically speaking, Mercury is a heavy metallic element like lead and is extremely toxic to any living matter like microbes, plants, animals and ofcourse a human being. It affects kidneys completely and is considered as one of the dangerous neurotoxin i.e. it affects nervous tissue or brain tissue very severely. It is always better to keep away such toxic elements from our body. I am a scientist, in our laboratory we are not allowed to even discard any of the mercury compound in a sink and we have to discard it seperately to avoid its accumulation in drain water. There is no safe limit as such for mercury. Safe limit for it is 'Zero'. I would suggest not to take mercury in any form internally. It is also dangerous to wear Mercury lingum on body as it gets absorbed through our skin. In this connection all my friends are requested to consult their physicians and to make internet search on 'Toxic effects of Mercury on human body'. I have ordered for a personal mala with beads from two to seven faced and with a 12 faced rudraksha in the centre. I would like to know from people who have been using 12 mukhi bead if it has been really effective and also i have found on most of the sites which offer rudraksha beads have different seed mantras for the same rudraksha. How is this possible? The mantras if going by the scriptures in each case should be the same? Kindly clarify? Guest guest
Dear Sudeepji Namaskar My Friend and welcome to our group Your question is a valid one so will try and explain what we have found Have found there are slightly different Mantras that are given in different Holy Books to same Mukhi Rudraksa. This would lead a person to believe there is a certain amount of latitude in the Mantras used for any Mukhi Rudraksa as long as the Mantra is reflecting the Devata and or the Mukhi of that particular Rudraksa For easy first example in Siva Purana the Mantra for 4 Mukhi Rudraksa is more of a Bija Mantra offering of Aum Hrim Namah In references found for Padma Purana there is a little more added and is Aum Hrim Caturvaktrasya. Seems there should be Namah for Obeisance at the end of this Mantra. If anyone in the group has a copy of the Padma Purana printed in Devanagari or English maybe they could let us know if the complete Mantra in Chapter 57 verse 92 has the word Namah as the last part of this Mantra As a second example......... for 8 Mukhi Lord Ganesha Rudraksa............. the Siva Purana shows the Bij Mantra of Aum Hum Namah and then the Padma Purana shows Aum Kam Astavaktrasya. Both Mantras are appropiate for the 8 Mukhi Rudraksa To go further with this concept of appropriate lattitude in Mantra Science we know that the 8 Mukhi represents Lord Ganesha so any of His Mantras are appropriate on any level of intensity Aum Gum Ganapatayei Namaha Aum Gum Glaum Ganapatayei Namaha Aum Hreem Gum Glaum Ganapatayei Namaha Aum Hreem Gum Glaum MahaGanapatayei Namaha The 108 Names of Lord Ganesha from Aum Sri Ganeshwaraya Namaha to Aum Sri Guna Priyaya Namaha are also appropriate for His Highly Auspicious Rudraksa and usage of the different names depends on the intent and purpose of the wearer The 12 Mukhi Surya Rudraksa is the only Rudraksa we have found referenced with the words of being.......... miraculously effective. There are quite a few people who wear this Holy Rudraksa includeing myself. Have found this Holy Rudraksa supports continual movement with great strength on all levels of life Hope this helps My Friend Dhanyavaad cha Pranams Mitra DharmaDev ----Original Message----- Sudeep Radhakrishnan <sudeepradhakrishnan <> Wednesday, April 23, 2003 6:35 PM Re: Parad Shiva Lingam/Yoni dear friends , I am new to the club and am waiting for receipt of my order to Rudra Center. Guest guest
Interesting. I wore 12 12 faced beads for a few months and then took the Nyingthig Yabshi, obstensibly the most actualized ritual of liberation ever, so yes, liberation is possible. - Sudeep Radhakrishnan Wednesday, April 23, 2003 8:35 PM Re: Parad Shiva Lingam/Yoni dear friends , I am new to the club and am waiting for receipt of my order to Rudra Center. Thanks and regards Sudeep ShiningLotus <shininglotus wrote:Dear Friend Thanks for this......now looks like I have everyone chuckling...........really had me worried for a minute.......was thinking about running for Hill Station Country to sit in quiet forest for awhile..............reason for my concerns is that some of our Parad Items like our Parad Sri Yantras are so soft you can actually flake off parts of the Yantra by easily pushing with finger so it is actually possible to flake off some of the Parad a little at a time Feel a lot better now............Thanks for helping My Friend Take Care DharmaDev somaphoenixx <somaphoenixx <> Thursday, April 17, 2003 6:54 AM Re: Parad Shiva Lingam/Yoni LOL, yes I ment the water from offering first to lingam then taking the water as prasad. I would never try to swallow the lingam/yoni. Thanks for your concern Devaji.
